About Anthony -- Co-Captain
TARGETRAINING
is proud to announce that Anthony is one of the team co-captains for 2006.

Anthony Colby is fast-rising in the world of road-racing. Coming from a  pro-mountain biking background and winner of a couple of collegiate national championship titles, Anthony is now focused on multi-day road events. He has shown tremendous potential in a short period of time. In 2005, his first full year on the circuit, Anthony has had a strong showing in every race in which he has competed. His general classifications are excellent: 10th Redlands Classic, 9th Sea Otter, 4th Tour of Shenandoah, 17th Tour of Connecticut, 7th Tour de Nez, 10 th Fitchburg-Longsjo Classic. He won two stages in Shenandoah, got 3rd in the 108 mile road race at Tour de Nez (behind Scott Moninger and Andy Bajadali), got 7th in the 120 mile road race at Tour of Connecticut and got 8th in the 110 mile road race at Fitchburg-Longsjo. Anthony is also a good time trialist. He got 4th in the Tour de Nez time trial, and 12th in the Fitchburg-Longsjo time trial.

Involvements in the sport
My involvement in the sport is rather simple I enjoy the racing aspect as well as coaching putting my collage education to so use. I also enjoy high-country MTB rides when I’m back in Colorado and bike polo. Making the sport of road cycling something all people can look up with enthusiasm.

Interests outside of Cycling
Sports are an obsession of mine and always have been. On the recreational side of my interests I enjoy Nordic Skiing in the winter along with snow showing and the occasional run in the back-country. I’ll also enjoy a game of Golf every once and a while and fly-fishing. It’s also nice when riding isn’t on my mind to float down the river with a few beers.

On the professional side, currency trading and real Estate Investment fill most of my Time.

Hobbies outside of Cycling
When I’m not busy with my occupations or my training I really enjoy a many cups of café’ and a cinnamon bun.

Education
A Bachelors of Arts degree in cycling or Exercise Science at Fort Lewis College
